MARCH is for Kind Hearts, Caring Hands, and Strong Communities.
March means to be kind and Caring for People, Animals, and Our Planet.

March offers rich opportunities for children to learn about kindness, inclusion, health, sustainability, and community through awareness events such as Hearing Awareness Week, Harmony Week, Clean Up Australia activities, World Down Syndrome Day, and environmental days, including World Water Day and Earth Hour. These events support children to develop empathy, respect for diversity, care for the environment, and positive social behaviours. Programming in March should focus on relationships, communication, wellbeing, and active participation in the community through play-based, hands-on experiences that build children’s sense of belonging and agency. Experiences are planned using intentional teaching and inclusive practices in alignment with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Framework (NQF).
